While all elements discussed in this paper can be modeled by the previously derived equations, there are two regions of the roller coaster that deserve special attention. These are the regions that have external forces on the coaster not caused by gravity: the lift hill and the brake run. The purpose of this research was not to describe in detail the dynamics of these special sections; rather, an attempt was made to explain the majority of the ride. A simple model of these sections was created for simulation purposes. The following sections describe the assumptions made.
