Brake Run

The remainder of the track is the brake run. It is made up of a combination of straight elements, curves, and joints with parameters chosen such that the track will return to the station. A detailed description of these elements will not be presented.

A representation of the track created is presented in figure 4.1. This figure shows only the path of the center of gravity of the car, which has been created here, and not the position of the rails, which will be determined by the dynamic calculations.

Figure 4.1: Example Track.
This figure shows the path traveled by the center of gravity of the car, as specified by the elements presented in this section. The black rectangle represents the station.
